As a Representative, Customer Operations you are responsible for executing daily operational activities that support customer accounts. You will help maintain strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs, monitoring shipment activity, and ensuring timely and accurate service execution. Your role contributes to account growth, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform load management activities, including entering loads accurately and recording

shipment status updates.
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers and warehouse partners.
  • Track shipments from pickup through delivery and communicate updates to customers

and internal teams.
  • Address issues that arise during shipment execution and maintain transparent, proactive

communication with customers.
  • Provide spot rates, calculate shipment costs, and assist with quoting opportunities for

spot, project, and annual business.
  • Support Sales with managing key branch accounts through coordinated service,

communication, and operational insight.
  • Enter complete and accurate data into the Transportation Management System (TMS) and

prepare loads for invoicing.
  • Communicate shipment, billing, or follow-up concerns to the Sales Manager and Carrier Operations teams.
  • Prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely load entry, tracking, customer communication, and

issue resolution.
  • Review and monitor customer report cards and performance indicators.
  • Accept or decline load offers from the Carrier Sales Group based on capacity, service

requirements, and customer needs.
What you'll need to excel:
At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated work style with the capacity to work well with minimal direct supervision or in a team environment
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

It'd be great if you also have:
  • 1 year of sales or customer service experience
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training, and a general understanding of the transportation industry
  • Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with experience identifying and resolving problems
