Job Description

1st shift 

Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. 

Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions. 

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standard, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to management 

Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications 

Review and approve machine set ups, production samples, and/or shipments as necessary Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement 

When necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activities 

Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood. 

Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achieved 

May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy May update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred 

2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment 

Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job

Must have proficient knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully 

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments 

Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs 

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and rarely lift in excess of 50 pounds 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages 

Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues 


Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.10- $27.35/ hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include: overtime, shift differential, call-in, 

and stand-by pay. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision
