Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Electronics/Electrician
Location: Clarksville, TN
Shifts: 12hrs Crewing - Night Shift 7pm-7am
Join our Maintenance Team! We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Electronics Technician or Electrician for our state-of-the-art printing facility in Clarksville, TN! This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of production machinery and facility plant equipment. Provides a wide variety of Maintenance support requiring generalized and specific knowledge of electromechanical equipment, PLC programming, and troubleshooting. Reads schematics and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
Interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine root causes. Utilizes precision measuring tools, testing devices, and system analysis to ensure accurate and efficient resolution of equipment issues.
Develops detailed specifications, measurements, and documentation for outsourced parts and services. Coordinates repairs and maintenance activities with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timeliness. Assists in the installation, relocation, and commissioning of production equipment, ensuring proper infrastructure, alignment, and system integration.
Works both independently and collaboratively to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support production goals. Supports facility and infrastructure modifications by delivering effective maintenance and engineering solutions. Ensures all work is performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards, including those governing power systems and environmental conditions.
Maintains flexibility to work scheduled shifts and participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency maintenance needs. Effectively prioritizes tasks based on safety, production demands, and project timelines. Stays current with evolving technologies, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Vocational or Technical School degree in Industrial Maintenance for Electrical, Electronics, PLC, & Electrical License/Certification.
  • Must have at least 4 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance & Electronics or Electrical.
  • Must have ample understanding and knowledge of PLC Programming & troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electronic devices without any assistance.
  • Knowledge of machinery and industrial wiring, such as power feed, transformers and motors.
  • Must be familiar with various testing equipment such as Digital Voltage Meters, Amprobe, Meggar, etc.
  • Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical knowledge & experience.
  • Good computer skills with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel & Outlook email.
  • Must be a team player and positive in all interactions at all levels of the organization.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Able to give & follow verbal & written instructions, including blueprints & schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators, etc.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities & work well under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Prior certification operating Forklifts (Sit-down, Stand-up, Aerial Lifts, etc.)
  • Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and material handling devices.
  • Welding experience: Tig, Mig, Arc, Oxy-Acetylene, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong drive, determination, and initiative with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues, taking ownership of tasks in support of the team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
  • Must be able to work 12 hrs Crewing shift (7pm - 7am, Thu-Sat & Alternating Wednesdays).

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated experience in mechatronics, robotics and industrial automation systems, including troubleshooting, integration, and optimization of automated equipment.
  • Exposure & knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using a Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders.
  • Maintenance experience in a Printing environment (Yearbook or Commercial).
