Job description

CPI Security, a leader in security, smart home, and business automation solutions, is looking for a Receptionist to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for visitors, customers, candidates, vendors, and team members. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for CPI Security's corporate office. You'll help manage front desk operations, greet guests, answer and route calls, support administrative needs, manage visitor badges and security access, and help ensure the office runs smoothly each day. The ideal candidate has prior receptionist, front desk, administrative, or customer service experience, along with strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a busy office environment. 

What You'll Do:

  • Greet visitors, customers, candidates, vendors, and team members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls to the appropriate departments or team members.
  • Manage front desk operations and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Coordinate visitor check-in, badges, security access, and related office security procedures.
  • Respond to general questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate internal resources.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, deliveries, and related communications.
  • Support administrative tasks such as document preparation, filing, data entry, and office coordination.
  • Coordinate meeting room scheduling, visitor arrivals, and front office communications as needed.
  • Partner with Customer Operations and internal teams to support daily office needs.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive customer service experience in all interactions.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve front desk processes and the overall visitor experience.
What We're Looking For:
  • Prior experience in reception, front desk, administrative support, office coordination, customer service, or a related role required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to greet guests and manage phone calls with confidence, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working on-site in a corporate office environment.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a corporate office, headquarters, customer-facing, or front desk environment.
  • Familiarity with visitor management systems, phone systems, badge systems, or office security procedures.
  • Experience handling mail, packages, deliveries, office coordination, or administrative support.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus, but not required.
