Description

Smith-Midland is seeking a proactive and highly organized Receptionist Administrator to serve as the face of our organization and a vital member of the office administration team. This individual will manage front desk responsibilities with professionalism and warmth, ensuring smooth daily operations, while also supporting key accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate must be organized, professional, and have excellent customer service skills to effectively deal with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-time receptionist front desk coverage for Smith-Midland's headquarters including greeting visitors, answering phone, routing emails and distributing mail.
  • Maintain the reception area and conference room in a clean and orderly manner
  • Professionally greet visitors (key customers, suppliers, staff members), direct them to the appropriate person or department and assist with visitor requests
  • Direct incoming calls to the appropriate person or department
  • Review and forward voicemails and faxes to the appropriate person
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendar for the main conference room
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Schedule outgoing mail services
  • Perform administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and mailing
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Assist with accounting and admin tasks at the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a receptionist or administrative role

This is a full-time position located in our Midland, Virginia office. Remote work is not available for this position.
