Job Summary
The Corporate Development Analyst plays a critical role in the growth of our company by performing market research, strategic and corporate analysis, and financial modeling to synthesize information for action-oriented decision-making on acquisitions, investments and other strategic initiatives. This role requires a variety of market and transaction-related analyses, coordinating and communicating across the global organization, as well as synthesizing actionable findings to support the identification and execution of acquisition & venture capital investment opportunities, and contribute to integrated business planning and corporate strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research & Analysis: Market research, corporate analysis, and financial modeling to support various investment opportunities, acquisitions, ventures, and other strategic Corporate Development projects including:
    • Track and assess industry and M&A trends that impact the industry sectors, the Company, our competitors, and our business partners.
    • Identify and execute growth initiatives and strategic priorities.
    • Evaluate and propose investment, partnership, and M&A opportunities.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Gather and analyze data from various sources to produce reports and presentations that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify potential acquisition targets, industry partners, vendors, service providers, and markets to explore new business avenues.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models and forecasts to assess the potential impact of business initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Collaborate with other cross-functional professionals, including product development, sales, engineering, legal, operations and finance to understand strategies and roadmaps. Assist in the formulation and execution of corporate development opportunities that align with company goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including our Board, senior management, clients, and partners.
  • Project Management: Manage and track the progress of projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Deal Execution Support: Assist with deal structuring, due diligence, contract negotiation, and integration.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in business development, market research, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and research skills. Capability with research tools such as CapitalIQ, Mergerstat, Pitchbook, etc.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Mastery of Microsoft suite of products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to develop and interpret complex financial models.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Domestic and international travel will be required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
    • Experience as an analyst/associate in a corporate development role, consulting firm, or at an investment bank, Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC) firm; deal experience preferred.
    • Strong Business Acumen. Superb valuation, analytical, and modeling skills. Proven ability to build structured quantitative analyses and financial models and high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
