Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in corporate development, strategic finance, M&A analysis, valuation modeling, investment analysis, diligence workflows, and structured transaction documentation.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured corporate finance review, transaction analysis, valuation assessment, diligence documentation, capital allocation review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their corporate development or strategic finance expertise to review realistic transaction scenarios, evaluate financial assumptions and documentation requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based finance workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

M&A Analysis & Valuation Review

  • Review corporate finance scenarios involving comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, DCF valuation, LBO modeling, merger modeling, and valuation ranges
  • Evaluate financial models against defined assumptions, peer sets, target outputs, return thresholds, and source materials
  • Support structured review of comps tables, DCF models, LBO analyses, merger models, and transaction-related calculations
  • Identify missing assumptions, model inconsistencies, valuation issues, and expected finance review outcomes

Diligence & Transaction Documentation

  • Review diligence scenarios involving CIM extractions, synergy build-ups, transaction summaries, business data, and source-backed fact sets
  • Evaluate diligence outputs against source documents, defined metrics, required fields, and documented transaction criteria
  • Support structured review of transaction artifacts such as teasers, CIMs, diligence summaries, IC memos, board materials, and financial schedules
  • Prepare clear written explanations for transaction and diligence decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Capital Allocation & Strategic Finance Support

  • Review strategic finance scenarios involving IRR, NPV, payback analysis, investment cases, capital allocation decisions, and scenario modeling
  • Evaluate capital allocation outputs against specified assumptions, hurdle rates, financial metrics, and decision frameworks
  • Support structured review of strategic finance materials, investment memos, scenario plans, and board-level financial summaries
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, strategic finance, FP&A, transaction advisory, venture capital, or related finance roles
  • Experience with one or more areas such as LBO modeling, merger modeling, DCF valuation, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, synergy analysis, diligence, IC memo drafting, or board memo preparation
  • Familiarity with finance tools and workflows such as Excel-based financial modeling, CapIQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, or similar finance platforms
  • Comfort reading and preparing transaction artifacts such as financial models, teasers, CIMs, IC memos, board memos, diligence summaries, valuation outputs, and capital allocation analyses
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain finance reasoning clearly
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in corporate development, strategic finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or financial modeling is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience with M&A transactions, private equity diligence, corporate strategy, capital allocation, board materials, or investment committee workflows
  • Strong financial modeling skills across DCF, LBO, merger models, comps, precedent transactions, IRR, NPV, payback, or scenario analysis
