We are currently seeking a Sr Manager of Global Commercial Contract & Deal Enablement who will be responsible to lead and evolve a global team responsible for enabling profitable growth through disciplined contract strategy, bid and tender excellence, and large deal support across a diverse life sciences portfolio, including capital equipment, consumables, and services. This role will transform and mature the commercial mindset, capabilities, and execution of the existing team-ensuring contracts and deals are structured strategically, executed efficiently, and aligned to enterprise financial and growth objectives. The leader will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, and other key stakeholders to improve deal quality, speed, consistency, and margin performance globally. The role has global responsibility, operates in a highly matrixed environment, and requires strong leadership through change.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Operations & Enablement and Organizational Transformation and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Global Commercial Contract & Deal Enablement Strategy-Define and lead the global strategy for commercial contract and deal enablement across capital equipment, consumables, and services offerings by establishing a disciplined, value-focused commercial mindset that balances growth, competitiveness, risk management, and profitability, and by developing a clear roadmap to evolve capabilities, processes, and operating models in support of global commercial priorities.
  • Contract, Bid & Tender Excellence-Lead and continuously improve global contract management, bid, and tender execution practices by ensuring consistent, high-quality responses with strong financial rigor, risk assessment, and value positioning, and by partnering with Legal and Finance to standardize contract frameworks, terms, and approval processes while enabling appropriate commercial flexibility.
  • Large Deal Strategy & Sales Enablement-Provide strategic deal support for complex, high-value, multi-year commercial opportunities by partnering with Sales Leadership to shape deal strategy, pricing structures, commercial models, and negotiation approaches, and by improving sales productivity and efficiency through reduced deal cycle times and increased deal quality and win rates.
  • Growth, Profitability & Financial Discipline-Enable profitable growth through disciplined pricing, contract structures, and deal economics by partnering with Finance and Commercial Analytics to ensure strong financial modeling, margin analysis, and deal governance, while balancing regional competitiveness with enterprise profitability and risk management objectives.
  • Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration-Act as a strategic partner across Sales, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, and other business units by enabling seamless cross-functional collaboration to support enterprise selling and strategic accounts, and by supporting Strategic Account Management with contract and deal frameworks for complex, global customer relationships.
  • Global Operating Model & Footprint Optimization-Optimize the global footprint and operating model of the contract and deal enablement team to drive cost-effective, regionally aligned excellence by defining roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across global and regional teams to ensure scalability and responsiveness, and by developing team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Performance Management & KPIs-Define, maintain, and continuously improve a strategic KPI dashboard to track team performance and business impact by monitoring key metrics such as deal cycle time, win rates, margin performance, pricing compliance, and bid/tender effectiveness, and by using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and inform executive decision-making.

The required qualifications for the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial enablement, contracts, deal management, pricing, or commercial excellence within life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics, or adjacent regulated industries.
  • Proven experience supporting complex sales environments, including capital equipment, consumables, and services.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, matrixed teams and driving commercial discipline and financial rigor.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to evaluate deal economics, risk, and profitability.
  • Change Leadership & Culture - Lead change initiatives that strengthen commercial execution and build an accountable, collaborative culture of continuous improvement.
  • Leadership Competencies - Strategic, execution-focused leader with strong commercial judgment, matrix influence, and clear executive communication.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Experience with global bid and tender processes across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with strategic account management and enterprise-level customer agreements.
  • Experience partnering closely with Legal, Finance, and Commercial Analytics teams.
  • Strong change management and transformation leadership experience.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
  • Up to 25% global travel to support regional teams, key deal reviews, leadership meetings, and strategic initiatives.

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $190,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
