Job description

Overview

Responsible for quoting projects, building orders, and invoicing sales which may include stock or special order product(s). Responsible for maintaining customer projects from their initial quote through an invoiced sale. Working 1:1 with customers or with a team of Outside Contractor Sales and Estimators to fulfill project needs. Must be comfortable engaging in face to face, phone, and electronic sales while utilizing exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals.


Responsibilities

  • Assist and support outside sales with product selection, questions, order writing, and estimating material needed for projects
  • Set up special orders
  • Schedule deliveries to satisfy customer needs and to maintain the profitability of the sale
  • Develop a continuous business relationship with customers and our vendors
  • Understand the marketplace
  • Know product features
  • Work to meet prospect customers’ needs
  • Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add on sales
  • Effective closing technique
  • Quote follow up- quote to order conversion
  • Share expertise with others
  • Other duties may be assigned
