This role combines customer service, counter sales, cashier responsibilities, and customer outreach in a dynamic retail and yard environment.

Compensation & BenefitsHourly Pay Range:

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Special consideration may be given up to $24.00 per hour for candidates who possess one or more of the following:

  • Bilingual Spanish language skills
  • Building materials, landscape supply, nursery, or contractor sales experience
  • Forklift certification or equipment operation experience
  • NetSuite or ERP system experience
  • Demonstrated success in sales, customer relationship management, or account development
  • Industry-specific product knowledge relevant to our customer base

What You’ll Do
  • Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service
  • Process customer purchases accurately using POS systems
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • Answer customer questions and assist with product selection
  • Process returns and exchanges
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct outreach to current and potential customers
  • Assist customers in the yard and warehouse areas as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Utilize NetSuite and other computer systems for sales support
  • Follow company safety, security, and cash handling procedures
  • Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of cashier, retail, customer service, or counter sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused attitude
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory procedures
  • Ability to learn product knowledge quickly
  • Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
  • Forklift or equipment experience is a plus
  • Must be 18 years or older
Physical & Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, and interacting with customers
  • Some desk/computer work required
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including store, yard, and warehouse environments
Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Standard 40-hour workweek
  • Saturday availability and occasional overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Seasonal schedule fluctuations may occur depending on workload and business demands
