Job Description

Brookfield is seeking an experienced Conference Center Specialist to join its Technology Services (TS) team. The successful candidate requires strong people skills and will act as the primary client contact for the planning and support of meetings and events. The candidate must possess strong Audio Video / Conference room technology troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. The individual must have excellent customer service skills and provide white glove service to all users and guests of the Conference Center. The Specialist will inspect rooms and ensure all client requirements have been addressed. Experience with planning testing and executing executive events, conferences, and Board level meetings is required.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with team members and 3rd party support providers to effectively resolve incidents and service requests related to conference room technology support.

  • Provide day-to-day support to end-users and proactive maintenance of the conference room technology equipment across the Brookfield NY Office.

  • Support company meetings/functions that require use of conference room technology, including but not limited to conference calls, webcasts, board meetings etc.

  • Own and manage the troubleshooting and diagnoses of AV equipment failure, including the root cause analysis, including any integration programming (HVAC, lighting, shades, etc.).

  • Manage/oversee third-party service providers to ensure conference room remediation is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Proactively performs checks for Video Conferences and dry run meetings, while resolving equipment issues that may arise.

  • Meets with business to gather requirements for meeting setup and maintain the global meeting/event tracker with all meetings that require support with the relevant details.

  • Own and manage the inventory of conference room equipment (clickers, mics, adapters etc.), as well as spare conference room equipment needed for room remediation.

  • Own and manage the sound masking technology for all floors.

  • Own and support the Global Crestron Fusion environment(s).

  • Provide support of lighting integrations for conference rooms and POE environment.

  • Create and help maintain documentation on all maintenance activities including any equipment changes and incident reports.

  • Demonstrates relationship building, effective communication skills with team members and third parties in the process of resolving incidents/service requests, knowledge transfer resulting in efficient and effective incident management.

  • Responds to conference room attendee technology requests and needs and troubleshoots problems utilizing standard troubleshooting tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business computing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.

  • 5+ years of AV and Events Management experience in a conference center environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Must be organized, detail oriented and possess effective time management skills.

  • Exhibit helpful, customer service-oriented attitude with team members and end-users.

  • Remain calm yet communicate (and act) with a sense of urgency when end-user has an urgent matter requiring resolution.

  • Ability to self-motivate, motivate others, be resilient and a strong team player.

  • Demonstrates ability to see issues from the customer's perspective, assesses urgency of requests and responds accordingly.

  • May require travel to various locations outside of the corporate office.

  • Experience in leading and overseeing third-party service provider service delivery execution and business governance.

  • Understanding of ITIL Methodology.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and understand AV system flow diagrams and support documentation.

  • Familiarity with Cisco AV Toolbox

  • Knowledge and ability to modify AV settings such as Microphone and DSP levels.

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues related to Audio, Network, Video and Hardware in relation to conference room technology.

  • Positions self to install equipment, including under desks or conference room tables

  • Experience with control and AV equipment such as Crestron, Polycom, Cisco, BIAMP

  • Broadcast experience such as WebEx, Global Meet, Zoom, Amazon Chime and Microsoft Team Live.

  • In-depth experience with major AV technologies and vendors (Specifically CISCO, MS TEAMS and Crestron).

  • Possess a full understanding of all conference room technology including:

    • Display Devices

    • Crestron Control Systems

    • Conference Scheduler

    • Interface Technology

  • Should possess knowledge of or experience with Lencore sound masking system or other similar technologies.

  • Experience and understanding of POE Lighting is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work with basic power tools, do light lifting and work off ladders etc.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

Our compensationstructure is comprised ofa base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensationtends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
