Job description

Overview

The Multiskilled Technician coordinates communication between unit/department staff and other departments of the organization. He/she transcribes physician orders by computer order entry or by utilization of appropriate forms. He/she performs other clerical duties using computer desktop applications. The Multiskilled Technician relays messages to appropriate personnel and maintains the medical record. He/she observes cardiac monitors for rhythms and reports any changes to licensed personnel. May also perform various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.

Qualifications

    Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Basic EKG course and identification of cardiac rhythms examination.

BLS required in the orientation period.
