Job Description
The Compliance Supervisor supports United Road's Compliance Program through the implementation and enforcement of company policies related to CSA guidelines. This role will monitor the day-to-day compliance activities for all locations and work with terminals to improve the company's safety performance. The Compliance Supervisor reviews all CSA violations and communicates regularly to FMSCA to challenge violations.
Job Duties
  • Conducts training and inspects the processes relative to hours-of-service, driver qualification files, pre-trip inspections, vehicle deficiency reports, service and repair accuracy and appropriate filing
  • Monitor CSA scores for the company and work directly with all locations to improve scores
  • Create action plans with terminals to improve in problem area and monitor progress
  • Communicate compliance findings and actions to management

Qualifications
  • Ethical and principled
  • Ability to conduct fact finding interviews
  • Proficiency in web-based programs (FMCSA, OVISS, etc.)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Products, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations
  • Ability to solve problems and think quickly under pressure
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Process improvement catalysts
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations
  • Four year college degree preferred
  • Three years minimum direct experience in the transportation industry
  • Expert in DOT & FMCSA Regulations
