The Work You'll Do:

Sovos is seeking a Senior Compliance Services Representative to deliver tax compliance services to large and complex clients. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource and extension of clients' tax compliance environments, bringing expertise in data management, regulatory deadlines, and complex problem resolution. With a strong foundation in project management and client services, you will act as a collaborative and consultative partner to both clients and internal teams.

•          Identify, prioritize, and resolve client issues; coordinate with appropriate internal departments to provide timely responses and solutions

•          Provide guidance and support to Compliance Services Associates and Representatives in building domain expertise and resolving client issues

•          Maintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clients

•          Identify process improvement and standardization opportunities; offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies, reduce risk, and lead internal improvement initiatives

•          Foster continuous improvement efforts; contribute ideas and feedback to generate innovative solutions for ongoing company enhancements

•          Develop reusable documentation and training materials; facilitate training sessions

•          Work with clients and federal, state, or local jurisdictions to investigate complex issues and negotiate solutions

•          Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline day-to-day workflows and improve output quality; apply critical judgment to review, validate, and refine AI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with Sovos standards

What We Need From You

•          Experience delivering tax compliance or client services in a complex, deadline-driven environment

•          Familiarity with tax information reporting, ACA, sales and use tax, FATCA, unclaimed property, or certificate management

•          Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously

•          Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex client issues with a consultative approach

•          Ability to mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment

•          Proficiency with technology platforms, including software applications relevant to tax compliance services

•          Commitment to data privacy and confidentiality; understanding of protocols around personally identifiable information (PII)

•          Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire

What Does Sovos Offer You?
