Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an administrative and supervisory position responsible for customer contact work involving coordination, shipping, recording, and updating of customer orders and cancellations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Records, adjusts and updates shipping schedules, new orders, shipping volume, and order changes
  • Advise appropriate personnel of order changes
  • Communicates any issues or delays in shipments to impacted areas with corrective action plans and timings for resolution
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively
  • Reports sourcing
  • Maintains inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, acquiring additional stock as required, and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
  • Ensures safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
  • Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
  • Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop the material handling/warehouse team
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Review purchase order claims for conformance to company policy
  • Resolve any invoices issues with the suppliers
  • Resolve any delivery/material issues with the suppliers
  • Ensure on time delivery from all suppliers
  • Direct and coordinate activities of buying and distributing material, equipment, machinery, and supplies
  • 10 Years of experience in warehousing, distribution and logistics.
  • Prior experience managing people in a distribution environment
  • Degree in management, supply chain, business or manufacturing discipline preferred
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiating, expediting and vendor performance evaluation
  • Knowledge and training in purchasing in various fields (electronic, mechanical, and chemical components)
  • Good understanding of both inventory and manufacturing systems
