Performance Drone Works (PDW) is building the next generation of tactical robotic systems used across defense, national security, and public safety missions. Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to contribute to the execution of our logistics and material flow processes. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-passed work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills and will play a pivotal role in shaping and shaping and operating PDW's manufacturing materials operations.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for material flow within overall receiving and shipping departments.
  • Manage day to day operation within assigned areas
  • Ensure up to date and additional trainings are completed by all direct reports
  • Ensure accountability and standards are being held; 1:1 conversations, semi-annual coaching and all disciplinary actions are taken in timely manners for all direct reports
  • Oversee, support, and coordinate the transportation of materials and sales orders
  • Responsible for coordinating all customs paperwork for overseas marketing events and sales shipments.
  • Oversee, support, and coordinate work orders to support production in a multi-assembly operation
  • Oversee, support, and coordinate the transportation of materials and sales orders
  • Coordination of receive and put-away processes into ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Demonstrate high proficiency with company's ERP system (NetSuite) for receiving, shipping and work order transactions
  • Collaboration with internal partners to resolve paperwork discrepancies to support work order transactions and receiving process with an advanced understanding of ERP with an emphasis on material movement and consumption.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and transactions with ability to analyze material discrepancies and resolve in ERP system
  • Actively identify continuous process improvement opportunities to enhance speed, accuracy, and compliance in the receiving process.
  • Act in partnership with supply chain procurement team and suppliers on incoming shipments to ensure material availability to production.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, transportation or materials management.
  • Experience with ERP systems for inventory movement, controls, data analytics, and metric reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of HAZMAT and Customs paperwork is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems required; NetSuite WMS experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory and system commitment
  • Preferred experience with operating forklift and certification
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, transportation or materials management.
  • Super User background in NetSuite ERP systems for inventory movement, controls, data analytics, and metric reporting.
  • HAZMAT Certified and expert in Customs documentation.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 50 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as manufacturing and test equipment, industrial computers, HMIs, and handheld diagnostic tools. Must be physically capable of walking production floors, accessing equipment in constrained spaces, participating in factory acceptance testing, and supporting on-site system deployments.
Work Environment
This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office equipment and may involve exposure to manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, test systems, and industrial materials. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross-departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard work hours for this position are full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
