Are you passionate about serving your community while leading a successful retail operation?

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries is seeking a Community Impact Site Leader to oversee an innovative retail and community resource center unlike any traditional retail store. This unique location combines a high-quality shopping experience with workforce development, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and mission-based programming.

As the Community Impact Site Leader, you'll be responsible for driving retail success while serving as Goodwill's ambassador in the community—building relationships, supporting employment services, hosting community events, and helping individuals achieve greater independence through the power of work.

What You'll DoLead Retail Operations
  • Manage the daily operations of the Community Impact Site
  • Create an inviting, organized, and fully stocked shopping environment
  • Drive sales performance and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee merchandising, inventory, cash handling, and operational compliance
  • Coordinate scheduled community donation events
Build Community Partnerships
  • Represent Goodwill throughout the local community
  • Develop relationships with schools, businesses, nonprofits, and civic organizations
  • Promote Goodwill's mission and community programs
  • Coordinate outreach events, volunteer opportunities, and neighborhood initiatives
Support Workforce Development
  • Partner with Goodwill's Community Impact team to host employment and career services
  • Coordinate space for job coaching, hiring events, training, and community programming
  • Welcome participants and connect individuals with valuable community resources
  • Help expand opportunities that strengthen the community
Lead and Inspire
  • Recruit, coach, schedule, and develop employees and volunteers
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, mission-driven culture
  • Monitor site performance and operational goals
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations and Community Impact leadership
What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in retail, nonprofit, customer service, workforce development, or community engagement
  • Experience supervising employees and/or volunteers
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
  • Experience planning community events or outreach activities is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
