Summary:

In this role, you will support and enhance all aspects of Vizient Cares corporate grantmaking and employee volunteer programs. You will manage a portfolio of nonprofit partnerships and serve as the primary point of contact for grantmaking requests, supporting both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will leverage your expertise in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit engagement, and community impact strategies to strengthen community relationships, increase employee engagement, and advance organizational giving initiatives. You will collaborate across teams to develop meaningful volunteer opportunities, measure program impact, and communicate outcomes through compelling presentations and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to plan, manage, and execute enterprise-wide volunteer events and initiatives.

  • Coordinate with nonprofit partners to support Community Day (Vizient's annual day of service) and additional volunteer programs throughout the year, primarily in the Chicago market.

  • Develop and implement grantmaking strategies aligned with organizational priorities, including impact measurement and business alignment.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of grantmaking, including application intake, review, financial reporting, payment processing, and impact tracking.

  • Manage corporate grantmaking budgets, funding allocations, and financial reporting processes.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for grantmaking inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Communications, Administrative Services, Facilities, and client-facing teams, to promote and expand Vizient Cares programs.

  • Administer and optimize community engagement and volunteer technology platforms in collaboration with third-party vendors.

  • Collaborate with internal communications teams to develop engaging content, presentations, and storytelling that highlight community impact and employee engagement.

  • Draft and publish communications, reports, and program materials to support grantmaking and volunteer initiatives.

  • Track and report program metrics, including volunteer participation, grant impact, and overall engagement outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit partnerships, or community engagement required.

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations and managing community impact initiatives required.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with community engagement platforms preferred.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.
