Schedule: 2nd shift preferred, but open to discussing alternative shifts based on candidate availability.


Responsibility to function as a CNC Machinist: Ensure that the employee handbook is being followed; follow all IATF 16949 Instructions. Ensures adherence to PPE policy and 5s principles. Gain and maintain a complete understanding of all production related jobs, production requirements, standard work, and other tasks which may be instructed to perform by your supervisor. Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interest and able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.


SAFETY

  • Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others in daily activities
  • Ensures the use of safe procedures and standard work
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery is operational and in good working order

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Set up and operate Haas VF2, VMC Series 3-axis CNC machines, as well as VR-95 5-axis CNC machines
  • Ability to efficiently operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality and compliance throughout production runs
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Set tooling, make program edits, and adjust machine offsets as needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Apply working knowledge of machine controls, G-code programming, fixtures, tooling offsets, and CNC operating systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine and production issues to minimize downtime
  • Deburr and finish parts as required to meet quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment through regular housekeeping practices
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience required
  • Experience setting up and operating Fadal and Haas VF2 series machines
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, solid models, written instructions, and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of and experience using shop floor inspection equipment and measuring tools
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience with Mastercam programming is preferred
