JOB SUMMARY:
The Machine Shop Supervisor manages the activities on all three shop floor shifts. Responsible for managing production schedule with machining capacity, and labor resources. This role will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Direct work and managing Shift Supervisors, and machine operators
  • Monitor product quality, address defects, and support root-cause solving and corrective actions
  • Track performance metrics (scrap, downtime, labor hours, etc.)
  • Implement safety rules and procedures, conduct basic safety checks, and respond to incidents
  • Oversee shift changes
  • Training, coaching, and evaluating machine operators: cross-training, feedback on performance
  • Quality and technical support on shifts
  • Employee relations, counseling, and reviews
  • Other duties

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience Preferred
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Advanced Excel, ERP, MS Word

REQUIREMENTS
  • Regulatory Requirements: US Person qualified and No Felony Conviction
  • 3 + years in a machining production environment with 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Supervisory and training experience
  • Knowledge and applied experience of safety standards
  • Able to read and interpret part prints, specifications, GD & T, and process documentation
  • Ability to read and understand various types of metrology tools
  • Ability to set up CNC lathe machine: select and install tools and work holding, load raw material, and load or adjust programs and machine offsets.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Medical and Aerospace.
