The Finance LEAD Rotational Program is Wabtec's premier early-career development program designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential finance talent into future business leaders.

This two-year, accelerated program provides participants with hands-on experience across multiple finance disciplines through four (4) six-month rotations spanning multiple areas of corporate finance. Participants gain broad exposure to areas such as FP&A, Controllership, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Strategic Finance while working on high-impact projects that directly influence business performance.

The program combines:

  • Direct exposure to senior finance leaders and executives
  • Cross-functional collaboration across the organization

Upon successful completion, participants are positioned for high-impact roles across Wabtec's global finance organization.

What You Will Do

As a member of the Finance LEAD Program, you will:

  • Rotate through four distinct finance roles across the organization, gaining broad exposure to key financial processes and business models
  • Support critical financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with business leaders to drive insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvements and business initiatives that enhance financial performance
  • Build strong relationships across finance and operational teams through collaboration and networking
  • Present analyses and recommendations to leadership stakeholders

Program Experience

  • Duration: Two-year program consisting of four six-month rotations across various functions of corporate finance
  • Locations: Rotations are primarily located in Chicago, IL and Pittsburgh, PA (with the potential for certain other Wabtec sites as well as business needs evolve)
  • Relocation: Participants are expected to relocate to a different Wabtec office at least once during the program to broaden experience and network
  • Development: Structured curriculum focused on both technical and leadership skill development, supplemented by formal training and mentorship

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a business-related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent)
  • Strong academic performance (minimum GPA requirement aligned with program standards)
  • Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.5
  • Major GPA greater than or equal to 3.5
  • Willingness and ability to meet the relocation requirement while on program
  • Open to applicants legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (student organizations, athletics, work experience, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to continuously learn and improve

The salary rate for this role is currently $75000-75000 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
