Specialist Analyst, Corporate Development
Location: Hybrid - Boston, MA
Reports to: Corporate Development VP
In this role, you will be a key contributor to PTC's Corporate Development team, with a focus on sourcing. Your primary responsibility will be researching companies and new technology relevant to PTC's business.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in due diligence, financial modeling, and market evaluation. You will work closely with Corporate Strategy and PTC's Business Segments to understand and influence PTC's strategy.
To excel in this role, you must have intellectual curiosity and an investor's mindset when evaluating business opportunities and risks. You will be expected to work in a dynamic, collaborative, cross-functional team environment. You should be detail-oriented and enjoy conducting thorough research and data analysis. This role will require technical and business understanding of PTC's products and solutions.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Research potential acquisition targets and conduct in-depth company research
โ€ข Follow and understand industry trends and new technology relevant to PTC's business
โ€ข Conduct research and financial analysis to support business model and the negotiation of deal terms.
โ€ข Assist in due diligence processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external advisors
โ€ข Create material for presentations to Management and Board level audiences
โ€ข Become a trusted advisor to Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and PTC management
Key Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus
โ€ข 1-2 years in a Corporate Development, private equity, management consulting, product management, or investment banking role a plus; 2+ years of business experience
โ€ข Ability to think strategically and tactically with a attention to detail and a problem-solving mentality
โ€ข Ability to cooperate with experts to develop a working knowledge of complex technical topics
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
โ€ข Ability to create Management Presentations and Board materials
โ€ข Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
โ€ข Ability to build and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
โ€ข Able to earn trust and to influence and motivate others without authority
โ€ข Fluent with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $87,600 - 115,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs. Employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and, if you are an office-assigned employee, a generous commuter subsidy.
