In the role of Sr. Manager Operations – Brewing working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Milwaukee Brewery Leadership Team and lead the Brewing Department.  You will be responsible for the leadership of plant and people resources within the Brewing department on a day to day basis, to ensure the achievement of the brewery’s vision and business plan in terms of value, quality, service, and people.  
You will lead brewing financial and operational performance, asset care and reliability, quality, brewing scheduling, manufacturing development, manufacturing systems and project management.   You will ensure high quality products are packaged cost effectively through maximizing operational efficiency and reliability.  You will be responsible for the integration of new products, new brewing processes and product testing. 

 This position reports to the Director WCSC& Operations and works closely with brewing department and other cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Be Brewing: 

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 5-7 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations 
  • Responsible for safely optimizing efficiency in all areas of brewing through utilizing, monitoring and evaluating SPQSCR to continuously improve performance 
  • Responsible for reducing total extract loss (TEL) by incorporating process improvements and driving results through direct and indirect reports 
  • Provide oversight for asset care strategy development, processes and practices and capital projects and expenditures in the brewing department
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and reliability of all assets within brewing by the effective use of the best asset care practices and systems 
  • Responsible for leading and ensuring that all health, safety and environment, quality, cost and reliability standards are met and driving conformance to regulatory and accreditation standards in brewing 
  • Provide brewing oversight to maximize brewery product flow from brewing to packaging, influencing finished product shipments to distributors 
  • Develop, define and lead local brewery brewing strategy to meet or exceed annual plans, develop budgetary and capital plans, review existing equipment capacity and staffing in order to meet long range planning goals which are aligned to brewery, Integrated Supply Chain and Molson Coors strategic plan 
  • You will lead a Pillar as part of Molson Coors’ World Class Supply Chain initiative and that Pillar will have impacts across the site
  • You will be part of the North American Brewing community and will collaborate with other breweries and corporate resources to share best practices and install learnings and improvements
  • Develop plans to help our environment by optimizing our water and CO2 usage in brewing

Key Ingredients:   

  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment 
  • You will have a BA/BS degree, preferably in Brewing Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science OR Engineering AND/OR 10+ years in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment.  Masters in Brewing Science is preferred.
  • You have advanced knowledge of brewing practices and procedures, brewing hygiene and Extract Loss calculation 
  • You will have a strong understanding of Asset CARE (Capability, Availability, Reliability and Enhancement) concepts for installed equipment including maintenance routines and practices. 
  • You have experience handling multiple yeast strains and have demonstrated experience maintaining culture health through on-site propagation and generation management
  • You will have experience in IWS lean manufacturing systems of similar lean manufacturing programs

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $129,900.00 - $170,500.00 (posting salary range) + 20target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
