Job Summary City Brewery in La Crosse, WI, has immediate opportunities for a Brewing Associate. This position is responsible for operating brewing equipment, CIP systems, monitoring fermentation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring all processes follow safety and quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor automated brewing systems.
  • Accurately brewing recipes and SOP's to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform routing quality checks on wort and fermentation processes & reporting deviations to supervisors.
  • Record and input productions data, batch logs and measurements into brewery software systems.
  • Execute CIP and SIP cycles on brewing vessels and lines to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
  • Handle raw ingredients such as malt, hops, yeast and flavor additives with proper inventory rotation and usage tracking.
  • Monitor and adjust fermentation conditions per product specifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols including use of PPE, confined space entry and chemical handling protocols.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of brewing areas and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, HSED or relevant work experience required.
  • Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to complete mathematical recipe conversions.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must be able to push, pull, drag & lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be willing to complete confined space entry training.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual that is able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, often loud manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teammates of varying skills and backgrounds.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work any and all shifts, weekends and overtime as assigned.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screening, functional capacity exam and background check.
