In the role of Technician, you will be part of the Brewing Team. You will be working in the brewing department and will be responsible for the production of beer and the knowledge and understanding of fermenting, conditioning and other brewing stages while understanding and operating the brewing systems; producing a quality product; and investigating methods to improve the process.
This position reports to the Line Leader in Brewing and works closely with other operators.
Responsible for operating, understanding, and rotating through conditioning, the brew house, and fermentation.
Must complete reporting concerning productivity, quality, safety, maintenance, line information, manpower schedule, station control, waste monitoring, or training records in an accurate, timely and legible manner.
Must perform sampling, assist with accident investigations/follow-up, assist with hazard analysis, assist with audits, and attend meetings as required.
Responsible for conducting a sensory analysis of all raw materials and in process product. Responsible for communicating with the team on all matters pertaining to the overall operation and function of equipment in the brewery to include ammonia chillers, filtration process, centrifuge, and heat exchangers.
Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities with maintenance, quality, asset care, and other specialists as required.
Responsible for autonomous maintenance of lab equipment, valves, motors, pumps, filter and mechanical malt handling equipment to ensure the brewery is running efficiently producing a quality product.
