Job Description: Breakfast Cook
Job Summary:
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast items in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring high quality, timely service, and guest satisfaction. This role involves working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate hot breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, omelets, and other menu items.
- Set up and stock the breakfast cooking station with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Ensure food is prepared and served on time and in proper portions, appearance, and temperature.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the hotel or brand.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines including proper food handling and storage.
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor or kitchen lead.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food deliveries.
- Support the breakfast attendant or other team members during peak service times.
- Clean and close down the kitchen after breakfast service is complete.
- Uphold hotel brand standards and guest service expectations.
