Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Scottsdale, AZ, for an Entry-Level Bookkeeping Assistant. In this position, you will support daily accounting operations, reconcile accounts, maintain records, and process financial transactions. Additional responsibilities include data entry, aiding in the preparation of weekly payroll, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. A successful candidate will be able to self-manage their time and responsibilities based on a loose guideline from the CFO.

General Bookkeeping Duties and Responsibilities

· Cash sheet reconciliation (balancing a checkbook)

· AM/PM Cash and Settlement Reporting (done in excel via email)

· Posting customer payments and refunds via check or wire (credit cards are all automated)

· Payroll Processing (timecard and commission entry, iSolved does the rest)

· Posting general ledger activities (including bank and payroll entries)

· Account reconciliations

· Assist with payables when necessary (credit cards and other vendor accounts)

· Files maintenance including digital and physical files

· Assisting with gathering W-9, 1099, and Exemption Certificates

· Abide by and enforce facility rules and all fiduciary laws and regulations

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in creating Ledger Entries, Coding, and Reconciliations
  • Experience with Financial Statements and the data they represent
  • Knowledge and experience using Accounting Software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Certification or AAS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is beneficial
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role is preferred
