Customer Service Representative โ€“ Service Focused with In-Book Sales Opportunity

Nick DeMaio State Farm is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Customer Service Representative who takes pride in helping people, solving problems, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy and professionalism while also having the ability to identify opportunities and pivot service conversations into in-book sales when it benefits the customer. If you enjoy building relationships, supporting customers, and growing within a team-focused environment, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in the insurance industry.

This position is contingent upon obtaining required insurance licenses. Candidates must be fully licensed or willing to obtain licensing with agency support. Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start. Life & Health license must be obtained within 45 days of your start date. Full guidance, study support, and resources provided throughout the licensing process.

Role Overview

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling policy needs, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a seamless and positive experience. This is a service-first role with opportunities to contribute to agency growth through thoughtful, needs-based in-book sales conversations. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, retention, and contribution to agency growth.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service to new and existing policyholders. Answer customer inquiries and provide clear, accurate policy information. Assist with policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, and account updates. Support customers through claims-related questions and follow up as needed. Build strong relationships that support retention and customer loyalty. Identify opportunities to strengthen coverage and pivot service conversations into in-book sales. Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions. Collaborate with team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Ensure compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer experience. Comfortable discussing coverage options and identifying opportunities when appropriate.
