Position Summary
525 Technologies is seeking an IT Sales Consultant to help develop new business and grow relationships with existing customers. This position is open to candidates with 0–5 years of sales experience. Previous experience selling IT products or services is helpful, but not required.
We are looking for someone who is professional, motivated, comfortable talking with customers, and willing to learn. The right candidate will learn 525 Technologies' products and services and work with the team to identify customer needs, develop solutions, prepare proposals, and build long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new customer relationships through prospecting, networking, referrals, outreach, and follow-up.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Learn and communicate 525 Technologies' products, services, and capabilities.
  • Meet with customers to understand their technology needs, upcoming projects, and business challenges.
  • Work with internal technical and operations teams to develop solutions for customers.
  • Assist with quotes, proposals, presentations, and customer follow-up.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and keep customer and opportunity information current in the CRM.
  • Follow up consistently on leads, quotes, proposals, and open opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional products and services to existing customers.
  • Build relationships with schools, colleges and universities, government agencies, commercial organizations, and other prospective customers.
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, networking opportunities, and other business-development activities.
  • Meet established sales activity and performance goals.
Products & Services
The Sales Consultant may sell solutions that include:
  • IT hardware and technology products
  • Computers, laptops, displays, and related equipment
  • Network infrastructure and structured cabling
  • Security cameras and video surveillance
  • Access control systems
  • Audiovisual and interactive display solutions
  • IT support and professional services
  • Technology installation and deployment services
  • Staffing and technology consulting services
Qualifications
  • 0–5 years of sales, business development, customer service, account management, or related experience
  • IT or technology sales experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable speaking with new and existing customers
  • Willingness and ability to learn technology products and services
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow up and stay organized
  • Professional and dependable
  • Comfortable working toward sales goals
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
  • Ability to learn CRM and sales tools
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Ideal Candidate
This role may be a good fit for someone who has sales experience and wants to move into technology sales, or an early-career candidate who demonstrates strong communication skills, initiative, confidence, and the ability to learn. We are more interested in sales potential, work ethic, and the ability to build relationships than requiring several years of IT sales experience.
