Senior Technology Sales Specialist
Position Profile
Responsible for retaining and expanding sales revenue within an assigned account base while driving new market share growth in the Federal vertical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide product and solution information to customers within an assigned territory. Assess customer business communication needs, conduct analyses, and develop benchmark demonstrations, proposals, and value propositions that exceed customer requirements using a consultative sales approach with Federal Department of Defense and Civilian organizations.
  • Organize and manage post-sale delivery and implementation of Ricoh solutions at customer locations. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales-related documentation.
  • Proactively identify and develop new customer opportunities by reviewing leads, participating in customer business planning, and delivering solution proposals aligned with sales management direction.
  • Engage in strategic account planning; proactively identify, assess, and develop action plans for at-risk customers.
  • Meet or exceed established revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional sales activities and manage team processes to ensure successful account execution.
  • Promote Ricoh products and represent the company during off-site customer meetings and events.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of account activity within the sales database.
  • Identify and engage key contacts within assigned accounts through strategic outreach and relationship-building activities.
  • Serve as the primary initial point of contact for customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Typically Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful business-to-business sales experience, including at least two (2) years selling to Federal Department of Defense and Civilian organizations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of sales methodologies and processes within a matrixed environment, particularly supporting Federal Department of Defense and Civilian organizations.
  • Strong negotiation, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and self-motivation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with or lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute account strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of industry products and services.
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships across departments and lines of business to support account success.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex data from multiple sources and translate insights into actionable solutions.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.
  • Position is largely sedentary but may require occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, or lifting items typically weighing less than 10 pounds (e.g., files, papers, small equipment).
  • Requires moderate manual dexterity and routine use of tools such as keyboards, calculators, and basic office equipment.
  • Involves regular travel to customer sites, which may or may not be accessible via public transportation.
