Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P., is seeking a skilled individual for our Benefit Enrollment Analyst position with our Human Resources organization at our Daikin Texas Technology Park location in Waller, Texas.

The Benefit Enrollment Analyst is responsible for the coordination of benefit enrollment related tasks and activities.  They will handle employee questions related to benefits including benefit selection, benefit coverages, benefit claims, etc.  

Position Responsibilities may include; 

  • Reviews benefit enrollment requests and qualifying event changes and determines if eligibility requirements have been met after approving requests both for the US and Canada benefit plans 
  • Assists employees navigate benefit questions and explains coverage details, including deductibles, co-payments, covered services, and exclusions 
  • Manages Tier-2 responses to questions submitted to HR service desk, working to resolve employee benefit issues and discrepancies  
  • Develops and delivers benefit presentations for new hires and acquired company employees transitioning into our benefit plans 
  • Manages enrollment eligibility changes such as dependents reaching age 26 
  • Supports the leave of absence team in cancelling coverage as appropriate for those on extended leave of absence 
  • Maintains ACA Reporting records as needed 
  • Collects and maintains benefit eligibility documentation in employee file/records 
  • Assists employees and/or family members with life claims 
  • Serves as back-up to other Benefits HR Analysts 
  • Provides support and other projects and duties as assigned 

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Comprehensive understanding of health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
    • Knowledge of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and other wellness programs.
    • Familiarity with laws and regulations such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
    • Ability to analyze benefits data, generate reports, and provide insights for decision-making.
    • Understanding of open enrollment processes, qualifying life events, and the implications for benefit changes.
    • Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) like Workday, ADP, or PeopleSoft for benefits administration.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in benefits administration and compliance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain benefits information clearly to employees and stakeholders.
    • Ability to create clear and concise benefits documentation and training materials.
    • Strong customer service skills to assist employees with benefit inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
    • Proficiency in identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
    • Ability to handle complex situations involving multiple variables.
    • Comfort with various software applications, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Familiarity with benefits management software and online enrollment platforms.
    • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, particularly during open enrollment periods.
    • Ability to maintain organized records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
    • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with HR colleagues, insurance carriers, and other external partners.
    • Skills in planning and executing benefits-related projects, such as implementing new benefit plans or upgrading administration systems.

    Education/Certification:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.  College education is preferred
