Join Our Team as an Systems Battery Engineer III where you will develop sophisticated electronics products in a world class Integrated Product Team.
Location: This position does not support teleworking;the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: King of Prussia PA and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
You will be responsible for the design, development, analysis, qualification, test oversight and production oversight of batteries required for programs in the Strategic Reentry Portfolio.


What does this role look like?
Design and development responsibilities include drafting requirements, performing trade studies and creating battery specifications.
Additional responsibilities include performing troubleshooting and Closed Loop Failure Investigations.
Provide battery engineering support at battery suppliers to provide oversight for battery testing and production.
Battery engineering support will be provided for rechargeable and non-rechargeable lithium chemistries as well as reserve battery chemistries such as molten-salt thermal batteries, silver-zinc batteries and reserve lithium batteries.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
Experience with battery design, development, testing, analysis, qualification and supplier production oversight.
3+ years of experience
While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
