🚀 Job Title: Battery Project Engineer

📍 Location: Hunt Valley, MD

💼 Job Type: Full-time, On-site


My client is a dynamic company in the clean energy and battery manufacturing industry dedicated to the aerospace & defense, unmanned aerial vehicles, and unmanned underwater vehicles sector. With exciting customers and projects underway, they are looking to expand their engineering team to scale their cell development & design initiatives.


***MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCE***


Responsibilities:


  • Designed and optimized Li-ion cells and electrode.
  • Worked with next-generation battery materials, including high-energy cathodes, silicon-based anodes, and electrolytes
  • Strong foundation failure analysis, root cause analysis, testing & validation.
  • Building and fabricating prototypes to support process optimization throughout the cell manufacturing lifecycle
  • Approximately 40–60% of the role spent working directly on the manufacturing floor


Experience with CAD or SolidWorks is a strong plus


Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of industrial experience after PhD degree
  • Master's or PhD is required in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or any related field
  • Hands on experience in battery or electrochemical cell design, electrode coating, and cell (pouch, hardware, and cylindrical) development process techniques.
