Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Battery Installer specializing in Renewable Energy to join our Vacaville team. This role is about more than just technical mastery; we are looking for a professional who takes pride in superior customer service. You will lead the installation and commissioning of residential solar PV and advanced battery systems (Tesla, Enphase, FranklinWH) while acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact for our homeowners.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement: Serve as the on-site lead, providing homeowners with clear project updates, walkthroughs of their new system, and expert answers to technical questions.

System Installation & Integration: Expertly bend conduit (EMT/PVC) and install inverters, disconnects, and sub-panels with a focus on clean aesthetics and home integrity.

Advanced Battery Commissioning: Program and commission Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); educate customers on how to monitor their energy via mobile apps.

Main Panel Upgrades (MPU): Perform comprehensive panel upgrades and "de-rate" breakers to ensure full NEC compliance for solar back feed.

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex electrical issues such as string failures, inverter ground faults, and communication disruptions.

Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards (LOTO, fall protection).



Required Qualifications:

Licensure: Valid Journeyman Electrician License (Required).

Experience: 8+ years in the electrical trade, with a proven track record in residential solar and ESS.

Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex electrical concepts to customers in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints and SLDs; mastery of conduit bending and panel upgrades.

Personal Attributes: High level of integrity and professionalism; detail-oriented regarding both wiring and customer interactions.

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
