Job description

Our family owned commercial door company looking to hire an automatic door technician located and be able to cover the Maryland/Washington DC area. Our office is located in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and install automatic swing and sliding doors
  • Plan and manage projects
  • Maintain a truck inventory
  • Properly maintain truck maintenance and vehicle logs
  • Work flexible hours (including weekend, after hours and overtime)
  • Follow all company policies and professional dress code

Requirement:

  • Valid state license with no restriction
  • Pass drug screening and background testing
  • Ability to physically handle 75+ lbs
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Follow instructions and hold self accountable
  • Understand typical and common construction procedures
  • Flexible working hours
  • Use hand tools and power tools with competence.
  • Ability to efficiently use a computer/modern technology
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Education/Experience:

  • High school Diploma
  • AAADM Certified Preferred
  • Previous tool and power tool experience
  • Construction/Storefront/Glazing
  • Previous Framing, construction or door experience (1-3 years at least)
  • Some training provided
