Adden Energy is developing solid-state batteries for automotive and consumer applications and is located in the Boston Area. Our technology is based on leading research from Harvard University, and our team is backed by prominent venture capital investors.
We are looking for a Senior Battery Engineer to join our growing technical team and work to scale our technology. As a key member of our team, you will make a substantial impact on the company's future and set the stage for how we build batteries for years to come as we work to make a positive impact on climate change.
What you get to do:
  • Design and develop pilot scale processes for manufacturing solid state battery cells
  • Assemble battery cells by using notching, stacking, welding, and packaging processes
  • Work with vendors to customize the equipment and tools based on manufacturing processes
  • Maintain, modify, and optimize the equipment and tools with vendor's guidelines

What you bring to this role:
  • Advanced degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a cell fabrication role in a Li ion battery industrial environment
  • Group leading experience is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multi-layer large format pouch cell assembly processes
  • Experience with all-solid-state-battery development is strongly preferred
  • Experience of vendor qualification and customer interactions
  • A desire to hold your own in a fast-moving environment alongside highly technical peers
  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with all regulations and quality systems
