Job description

A technology company specializing in advanced materials develops and manufactures products for energy storage, electronics, and coatings, with a strong focus on nanotechnology and battery innovations. It partners with research institutions and industrial clients to commercialize next-generation materials, particularly for lithium-ion and emerging battery chemistries.
We are seeking a highly motivated Materials or Chemical Engineer with a strong understanding of new and emerging battery technologies to help us push the boundaries of what"s possible. This role is a key part of our product development team and involves both fundamental development and direct manufacturing support.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and optimize the manufacturing of cutting-edge battery electrodes, including traditional and next-generation active materials for lithium, sodium, and/or zinc-ion batteries.
* Fabricate and test pouch and coin cells to evaluate performance.
* Characterize powders, films, and dispersions using standard laboratory equipment.
Key Qualifications
* Direct, hands-on experience in battery electrode development, including powder processing, slurry preparation, and coating/film fabrication processes.
* Strong knowledge of electrochemistry and Wet or Solid-state Chemistry.
* Expertise in using standard laboratory equipment and proficiency in characterizing powders, films, and dispersions.
* The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented, creative mindset.
$38.00 - $45.00/hr
Education & Experience
Must have BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science and Engineering
Must have Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of industrial experience in the chemical or materials industry
Must have experience of electrochemistry and Wet or Solid-state Chemistry.
