QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate Degree or 48 hours of passing College Credit or have passed the ParaPro Test or WorkKeys Test or Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET) in order to obtain paraprofessional certificate. Will work with candidate to obtain qualifications. Individual must stand and walk up to eight hours. Good people skills are necessary to positively impact the student's learning environment. Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds. Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation. Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents. The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Provide for and maintain a quiet environment, keeping students on task.
  2. Tutor students practicing on a variety of subject assignments.
  3. Check work of each student for completeness and return work to teachers.
  4. Contact teachers and receive assignments for each student.
  5. Monitor students during lunch and restroom breaks.
  6. Produce and maintain records of attendance, behavior, cooperation, and productivity.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by Principal or Assistant Principal.
