Position Overview

Back On Track Orthopedic Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Rochester, New York. This full-time position requires a motivated individual with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and state licensure to support our mission of restoring movement and enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, utilizing evidence-based practices to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Consult with physicians and allied health providers regarding patient outcomes, ensuring a cohesive continuum of care.
  • Implement and adjust treatment interventions based on regular assessments, educating patients and their families to enhance understanding and compliance.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with state regulations and professional standards.
  • Supervise and guide assigned support staff, including physical therapy aides and students, facilitating their professional development and enhancing departmental efficiency.
  • Engage in leadership activities such as community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and marketing efforts while promoting cost-effective practices.
  • Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education programs, and in-service training to continuously enhance both clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Your approach must be sensitive to the varying needs of patients from all backgrounds and age groups, ensuring a high standard of customer service and care at all times.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy in New York is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before starting the position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare colleagues.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and electronic documentation systems, is necessary.
Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates, candidates with previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting will be highly preferred. Familiarity with patient-centered care methodologies, treatment software, and telehealth platforms is advantageous as we transition into more integrated care solutions.
