Position Overview

Join the dedicated team at Back On Track Orthopedic Center as a Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by evaluating their physical conditions, designing personalized treatment plans, and implementing rehabilitation strategies tailored to each individual's needs. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal continuity of care and improve patient outcomes.

About the Organization

Back On Track Orthopedic Center, located in Buffalo, New York, is committed to fostering a safe and empowering environment for patients, staff, and the broader community. Our organization prioritizes health equity and promotes a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe that every team member’s unique perspective enriches our workplace and enhances the care we provide to our patients.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, where you will engage with patients in a supportive atmosphere designed specifically for recovery. The center is equipped with advanced therapeutic technology and rehabilitation tools that enable you to deliver high-quality care and meet the diverse needs of the patients we serve. Working full-time, you will typically have a 40-hour workweek with variable weekends, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and physical disabilities, integrating findings into comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure a seamless continuum of care, providing consultations on patient progress and modifying treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Instruct and educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercises essential for rehabilitation.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and billing codes for services delivered, remaining compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and supervise support staff, including physical therapist assistants and technicians, ensuring effective team dynamics and productivity.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and continuous quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient engagement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, in-services, and continuing education opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients seeking rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. Your approach will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, considering their age, cultural background, and specific health challenges, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every patient feels valued and supported.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current State License in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Preferred Experience

While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is the minimum requirement, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or specialized training in manual therapy and sports rehabilitation will be viewed favorably. A background in community outreach or patient education will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

Back On Track Orthopedic Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Generous paid time off, holiday leave, and flexible scheduling options.
  • Robust health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Retirement savings plans with employer contributions, and options for disability insurance.
  • Employee discounts on various products and services, in addition to unique perks such as identity theft protection and home/auto insurance.
  • Access to an on-demand pay program, allowing you to manage your earnings more flexibly.
  • Complimentary onsite parking for all employees.

At Back On Track Orthopedic Center, we are committed to your professional development and growth. As part of our team, you will have access to various educational opportunities, including leadership programs and specialized training. You may also have the chance to advance into supervisory roles or specialize in specific areas of physical therapy.
