Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, evaluations, and assessments to establish tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop evidence-based interventions for patients with functional limitations and disabilities, focusing on their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive continuum of care.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately, complying with professional standards and regulations, and ensure timely billing for services rendered.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff, such as physical therapist assistants and aides, providing guidance in patient care and service delivery.
  • Engage in community outreach programs, marketing initiatives, and continuous quality improvement projects to elevate the clinic's presence and service standards.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions to further enhance your skills and foster team knowledge-sharing.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve interacting with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, each with unique orthopedic needs. The clinic addresses conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and neurological disorders. A significant aspect of your role will be to adapt treatment approaches that are culturally competent and sensitive to the varying backgrounds of our patient population.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in New York.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, showcasing your commitment to patient safety.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, along with functional computer and word processing capabilities.
Preferred Experience
