About the Role


ROCS is partnering with a well-established, award-winning winery in Northern Virginia to hire an Assistant Tasting Room Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hospitality, restaurant, retail, event, or customer service management experience who enjoys leading teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and working in a beautiful outdoor environment.

This role is designed to develop into a Tasting Room Manager position over time, making it ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership role while learning all aspects of winery operations.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the tasting room
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining a high standard of hospitality
  • Supervise and support tasting room staff during daily operations
  • Help coach, train, and motivate employees
  • Assist with employee scheduling and staffing coordination
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Support inventory management and movement of wine and supplies
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming indoor and outdoor guest areas
  • Ensure company policies, safety standards, and service expectations are consistently met
  • Work closely with leadership to improve operations and guest satisfaction
  • Learn all aspects of tasting room management with the goal of advancing into a Tasting Room Manager role


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of hospitality, restaurant, retail, event, or customer service management experience
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills
  • Experience supervising employees or leading shifts
  • Scheduling experience is highly preferred
  • Comfortable working weekends and a flexible schedule
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
