Job description

B2B Collections Representative LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company near North Phoenix who is looking to add a collections specialist to their team. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The starting salary is between 60,000-65,000 DOE.
This is an opportunity for a professional who has experience managing commercial collections, reducing aging balances, and navigating the lien process when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have strong business-to-business collections experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial customer accounts and oversee collection efforts on past-due balances
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices through phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Review aging reports and prioritize collection activities to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer disputes
  • Prepare preliminary lien notices and assist with lien filings when necessary to protect company interests
  • Track lien deadlines and maintain accurate documentation related to collections and lien activity
  • Work closely with customers, project managers, sales teams, and internal departments to resolve account concerns
  • Reconcile customer accounts and ensure payments are applied accurately
  • Review accounts for credit holds and recommend appropriate actions
  • Maintain detailed records of collection activity within the ERP system
  • Support month-end reporting and accounts receivable functions
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recent B2B collections experience
  • Experience handling lien notices, lien waivers, mechanic's liens, or construction-related collections strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, aging reports, and account reconciliations
  • Ability to confidently communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • ERP system experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional, persistent, and customer-service-oriented approach to collections
