Join the Hunter Automotive Group Team
Hunter Automotive Group is looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Auto Collections Specialist to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with collections experience who enjoys working with customers, solving problems, and supporting daily dealership operations.
In this dual-role position, you will help manage customer accounts, assist with payment solutions, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
What You'll Do
  • Customer Account Management & Collections
  • Manage customer accounts and assist with payment follow-up on past-due balances.
  • Communicate with customers professionally to discuss payment options and account solutions.
  • Work with customers to create realistic payment arrangements when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communication, payments, and account activity.
  • Assist with reviewing delinquent accounts and follow company procedures regarding account resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable collection guidelines.

Office & Administrative Support
  • Perform daily office tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining customer records.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with questions or direct them to the appropriate department.
  • Process customer payments and update dealership systems accurately.
  • Assist with customer paperwork, vehicle files, and insurance verification.
  • Support management and dealership operations with administrative needs.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous collections experience required (auto, finance, medical, credit card, or similar industries welcome).
  • Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and respectfully.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing records and payments.
  • Comfortable using computers, customer databases, and office software.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
