AVP, Trader

Location:

CA - Westlake Village

What you'll do:

The AVP, Trader position within the non-agency group, is responsible for assisting in the pricing, hedging, loan trading, and securitization of AmeriHome's non-agency loan pipeline. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of non-agency capital markets experience or have an advanced financial degree such as a master's in finance, MBA or CFA. This position offers an opportunity to learn non-agency loan executions, hedging and other capital markets functions while helping grow this production channel at the largest bank owned originator in the country.

Assist in the following trading activities:

  • Daily rate sheet pricing

  • Hedging the non-agency pipeline

  • Executing whole loans trades

  • Trade documentation

The AVP Trader will additionally complete the duties below:

  • Monitoring the non-agency securitization market

  • Maintain workflow tools

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting

  • Working with the operations and transaction management teams on any trading issues

  • Confirming trades and trade blotter accuracy

  • Additional duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of related experience in Residential Mortgage Lending, Capital Markets or similar field, or 1+ years of related experience with an advanced degree, such as MBA or Master's in Finance, Master or similar field.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.

  • Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending including; sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.

  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

  • Advanced Excel.

  • Entry level to intermediate SQL.

  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $132,661.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
