Description

The AVP Account Management for Elemis reports to the SVP of Sales and Education and is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize product sales, overseeing the Sales team, analyzing trends, opportunities and driving product visibility with key team members by brand.

This role also manages front-facing relationships with retail partners, monitors inventory levels and contributes to overall business growth. In this capacity this role is responsible for implementing efficient processes for both existing and new accounts, ensuring seamless operations and maximizing sales performance across the business.

This role will see you developing effective strategies in partnership with the Planning Team, Marketing Teams, Strategy Team to understand the consumer trend, optimizing product placement, and building strong relationships with retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual sales plan, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the internal Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to align sell-in strategies with product launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Drive sell-in strategies to ensure alignment with retailer needs, optimizing sell-through and product placement.
  • Lead the weekly sales meeting review taking place on Wednesdays with comments and feedback based on week-to-week POs (net sales) and overall monthly sell-in results.

Retailer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key retail partners, including Sephora Planners, and every Department Store Retailer Buying Office Team.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the company and retailers to ensure strong communication, strategic alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with retail partners to track performance, forecast demand, and optimize product assortment. Inclusive of Bottoms up analysis for net sales, Re-trend, Forecasting, Retailer goal setting by door.
  • Negotiate pricing strategies, and promotional terms with our Retail Partners in partnership with each of our brands.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the end-to-end operations from sell-in to product delivery in partnership with the warehouse/ the AVP of Supply Chain Management, as well as the Sales Directors for Account Management, and the Strategy and Planning Teams, ensuring that retailer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Create processes for new retailer setup from start to end in partnership with key players such as Marketing teams, SCM, Strategy & Planning and HQ.

PO Management and Optimization:

  • Oversee the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) processing in partnership with the Sales Directors for Account Management, SCM Team as well as the Strategy and Planning Teams, ensuring that orders are accurately entered, tracked, and fulfilled on time.
  • Work closely with the logistics and Supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, ensure product availability, and minimize stockouts.

Sales Forecasting & Inventory Management:

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, working closely with the Planning team to ensure alignment with production schedules.
  • Collaborate with retail partners and internal teams to ensure that inventory levels are appropriate and ensure quick turns for high-demand products based on the marketing calendar and activations.

People Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Sales Operations Team (Planners, Report Manager and .com Manager), ensuring they are aligned with the company’s sales strategies and performance expectations.
  • Set individual Sales targets and regularly track performance to ensure the team is meeting its goals.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages the team to proactively address challenges and seize opportunities.

Sales Reporting & Analytics:

  • Provide weekly reports to senior leadership on sales performance, retail trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze key metrics such as sell-in/sell-through, and retailer performance to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Utilize data insights to optimize product assortment, promotional effectiveness, and overall sales strategy.
  • Develop and oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to support the overall organization objectives through volume and SKU related information/analysis with supporting action plan/strategy.
