Job description

AV Planners is seeking a Lead AV Commissioning Engineer with strong experience in QSC Q-SYS and Crestron systems to help lead the deployment and commissioning of high-end commercial AV projects throughout Southern California.

Weโ€™re looking for someone who is technically strong, client-facing, organized, and confident leading projects in the field. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering polished systems and a great client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commissioning and final deployment of commercial AV systems
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize QSC Q-SYS and Crestron environments
  • Work closely with engineers, programmers, project managers, and installation teams
  • Interface directly with clients during testing, training, and project closeout
  • Perform system verification, DSP tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinate punch-list items and ensure projects are completed to a high standard
  • Support site walks, turnover meetings, and technical problem-solving
  • Assist with Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deployments
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with QSC Q-SYS and Crestron systems
  • Experience commissioning conference rooms, boardrooms, training spaces, and collaboration environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot AV, control, audio, video, and basic network-related issues
  • Professional communication skills with clients and internal teams
  • Organized, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern California
Preferred Qualifications
  • QSC Q-SYS certifications
  • Crestron certification experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
  • Understanding of AV networking and enterprise environments
  • Experience working in high-end corporate environments
