Job description

Job Summary: The Audio/Visual Technician sets up audio and video technical equipment to include microphone, speakers, video screens, projects, video monitors, recording equipment, sound and mixing boards, and basic lighting at presentations and live entertainment venues. You will report to Audio/Visual Manager.

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will set up recording equipment, mixing boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens and video monitors.

2.       Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable

3.       You will operate technical equipment for live events to include video, audio, and basic lighting at presentations and live entertainment nevus.

4.       Ensure AV equipment is operational, repair or clean equipment.

5.       You will manage and label broken equipment and report issues to the AV Manager.

6.       Verify delivered equipment and room set-up against event order.

7.       Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.

8.      You will answer inquiries concerning the use of audio-visual equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors and video monitors.

9.       Perform other duties as assigned.

         Solid technical background

         Working knowledge of PC computer software programs

         One year AV experience with an understanding of integrated audio, video control systems
