At Inland Respite, Inc, our primary focus is on offering much-needed respite to families who are caring for children, teens, and adults on the Autism spectrum and other related developmental disabilities. By becoming a Respite Care Provider, you will give parents and families the chance to take a well-deserved break, whether it's to relax, run errands, or focus on their work, while ensuring their child remains engaged in safe, enjoyable, and functional activities within the comfort of their own home.

Essential Duties:

The essential duties of our respite caregivers are to ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability. Duties consist of daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting assistance), daily routines, and/or homework. We encourage our caregivers to engage and initiate age-appropriate activities for the client and build positive relationships with the family and clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Driverโ€™s License or State-Issued ID
  • Valid auto insurance coverage
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (Infants, Children, and Adults)
  • Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual preferred)
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior caregiving experience
  • Experience working with, or exposure to, individuals with disabilities
  • Willingness to assist with personal care needs, including toileting assistance

Salary: Starting rate of $19.35

Job Type: Part-Time
