Job description

**Job Summary:**
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are needed to offer direct support and oversight to individuals in our CILA Homes program in multiple locations. DSPs will play a crucial role in assisting individuals within their residences, during transportation, and throughout community activities, fostering skill development and creating new experiences while prioritizing health and safety.

Swift CILA, Naperville; Bensenville CILA, Bensenville; Hale CILA, Addison; Starling CILA, Naperville; Lincoln CILA, Addison; Winston CILA, Woodridge; Abilene CILA, Bloomingdale; Intermittent CILA, Hinsdale CILA, Hinsdale; Elm CILA, Villa Park; View CILA, Lombard; Ridge CILA, Lombard; Monarch CILA, Elmhurst; Dunham CILA, Downers Grove; Devine CILA, Downers Grove; Grace CILA, Lombard; Vista CILA, Addison; Princeton CILA, Villa Park; Wilson CILA, Lombard; West Chicago, IL; Highland CILA, Lombard; Crestwood CILA, Bloomingdale, IL
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Successful completion of HealthCare Worker Background Check
- Possession of a valid IL Driver's License
- Capable of safely lifting and transferring individuals up to 75 lbs
- Positive and personable demeanor
- Submission of a Motor Vehicle Report from the Secretary of State and passing pre-employment drug screening
- At least 21 years of age
- Flexibility and adaptability to individual needs
- Ability to work varying schedules
**Additional Qualifications:**
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Knowledge of person-centered planning
- Experience with behavior management techniques
- Training in medication administration
- Understanding of trauma-informed care
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct support and supervision to individuals residing in CILA Homes program locations
- Assist individuals in skill building, community integration, and experiential learning
- Monitor and promptly address health and safety concerns
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure individual needs are met effectively
